David Richardson is a CPA and financial advisor with HD Vest, and the founder of Richardson Financial. We sat down with David to chat about his marketing success.
How did you first learn about FMG Suite and how did you decide to choose FMG Suite for your website and digital marketing?
I previously had a website that I didn’t like. It didn’t look good and we didn’t have a good marketing strategy. I spoke with Ruth from HD Vest about wanting a better website and she referred us a few different companies. When we saw what FMG Suite offered, we were very impressed. Overall, FMG Suite has cut down on the time we have to spend on our marketing. The website is easy to customize, it isn’t static like so many other website providers, and the platform is very flexible. My team and I can quickly go in and make updates and submit to compliance, all from one dashboard. It’s simple, quick, and looks good. Best of all, FMG Suite automatically provides HD Vest content, including a “Who is HD Vest” page, which I was easily able to have added to my website.
Do you have a favorite FMG tool? If so, which one and why?
I really enjoy the Email Campaigns tool, which has helped my business tremendously. It’s easy to use, so I can segment email lists and send certain video newsletters to specific contacts. With the analytics tied in, I can see who opens and interacts with the emails. What’s so great about this tool is that the email newsletter features a video that’s fast and informative. So many of my clients have shared with me that they enjoy that the videos are interesting but still quick and to the point.
Have you experienced any specific successes using our tools? Or, received any positive feedback from clients or prospects?
Thanks to the Email Campaigns tool, I’ve received new business. My contacts watch the videos and often have questions on new investment opportunities or planning strategies that may be appropriate for them. I would say that in the past year, we’ve experienced about a dozen different benefits from sending the email newsletter, whether it’s new accounts, new clients, or an increase in our assets under management.
What do you like most about your FMG website?
I’m very proud of our website. It shows our stability and depth, and it shares our story. Referrals and prospects can check out our team page to learn more about us and feel like they know us before they step foot into our office. The Resource Center has so many fantastic videos and articles that are already compliance-approved.
Based on what they see on our website, I believe many new clients are persuaded and ready to work with us before even meeting us in person. In a sense, our FMG Suite pre-sells new clients for us.
Would you recommend FMG Suite to other HD Vest advisors?
