Susan Theder is the Chief Marketing and Experience Officer at FMG and a member of the company’s Executive Team. Susan has worked across the wealth industry including custodians, broker-dealers, RIAs, and fintech providers helping both advisors and enterprises achieve growth. She is passionate about supporting advisors in building their brands and strengthening the enterprises they represent, driving long-term shareholder value for both groups.
A firm believer that leadership and culture are central to company success, Susan has built and led high-performing teams grounded in collaboration, innovation, and accountability. She focuses on data-driven, customer-first strategies that harness technology to deliver personalized and impactful experiences.
Before joining FMG, Susan served as Chief Marketing Officer at Advisor Group (now Osaic) and Cetera Financial Group. She also held senior leadership roles at Pershing/BNY Mellon and Fidelity Investments in marketing, product, and practice management. In addition, she has served on the Boards of Directors for Smarsh and ComplySci, two leading SaaS/RegTech firms. Since joining FMG in 2021, Susan has led a comprehensive rebrand, strengthened its industry leadership, and driven a 400% increase in enterprise growth. She also spearheaded the launch and expansion of FMG’s “Do It For Me” program, one of the most successful initiatives in the firm’s history.
