10 Examples of Female-Led Firms and Their Websites

The eight firms below have continued to impress us with their lead-generation tactics, the unique niches that they cater to, and much more, so we just had to show them off.

1. Guelich Capital Management

Led by a mother-son team, Founder and President Connie C. Guelich, CFP® CLU® ChFC® AEP® RICP®, and Vice President R. Steven Guelich, CFP®, WMPC®. Guelich Capital Management’s team focuses on designing customized strategies to organize all facets of the financial lives of their clients.

Why We Like It

Their website has a little bit of an “interactive feel” to it, with the inclusion of some drop-down menus in order to keep the website streamlined and free of clutter, but also telling visitors everything that they need to know about certain services at the click of a button.

Additionally, they offer podcasts in their “Listen In” section. Content like this is important to provide as it offers alternative mediums for your clients to engage your business.

2. Braun-Bostich & Associates

Braun-Bostich & Associates has an incredibly clean website with a unique design. Amy Braun-Bostich MSFP, CFP®, CFS®, APMA®, CLTC® is the founder and CEO of the firm. As a boutique firm, they provide tailored financial solutions while offering the resources and capabilities of a larger firm, even though they serve their clients on a personalized basis.

They have many unique features, but one that really stands out is “BBA Cares,” which shows their strong commitment to community service. From The Great Washington County Food Bank to Young Life, they have supported many of these causes for up to twenty years. It’s important to give back to the community and share information beyond your products and services.

Why We Like It

There are many clear calls to action on the website, one of them being “Schedule A Free 20 Min Phone Conversation,” where visitors are taken to a meeting scheduler through the use of Calendly, allowing them to meet with one of the advisors on a certain date and time.

We have discussed the importance of being up-front and disclosing fees on your website, so it’s great that Braun-Bostich & Associates has done just that. When you include your fees and fee structure clearly on your website, it can often save a phone call or initial meeting to see if a client can afford the services. Additionally, it shows that you are direct and clearly telling your prospects how much it costs to work with you, and this type of transparency is important for being trusted by prospects and clients.

3. Retire Secure Financial Planning

Managing Principal Nancy Tani, CFP®, JD, MBARetire Secure Financial Planning is a financial planning and investment management firm serving the greater Chicago area. While they offer a wide range of financial services, their main focus is on retirement planning, and it’s always a good idea to hone in on a niche to get the most out of your marketing.

Why We Like It

Many aspects show off the strong design of this website, and one of those is the use of calls-to-action scattered throughout the website. When placed strategically, they boost lead generation and help your visitors take the next step down the sales funnel.

Content creation is key to driving traffic, but consistently doing so is even more important when it comes to regularly providing your visitors with useful information. They come to expect that your content will be updated, and it will not only boost your lead generation but keep visitors on your website for longer, which can contribute to SEO.

Additionally, in their resources section, they have included an FAQ page to answer the most common questions that their prospects may have, cutting out an unnecessary phone call or initial meeting, which in turn saves time and money for everyone. They ask some questions such as, “What is your investment philosophy?” and “How do you help clients implement their financial plans?” which are great questions to answer up-front so that prospects can really learn their the firm’s values and have the important questions answered before the initial meeting.

4. The Basballe Group

The Basballe Group is led by a financial advisor, Laura Basballe, and is based out of Burnsville, MN. They provide financial planning with an educational approach and offer:

  • Financial Planning
  • Retirement Planning
  • Insurance
  • Investments

While they serve women and self-employed business owners, they also serve the unique niche of Delta Airlines employees and retirees. They have a close location to Delta’s hub in Minnesota and have served the financial needs of Delta employees and their families for over twenty years. Catering to such a unique niche makes it much easier to stand out in the already saturated industry of financial advisors. However, they do serve other clients, as well, giving them that broader reach, as well.

Why We Like It

Not only are they open and transparent about their fees right off the bat, but they give a brief overview of what you can expect for the price and the length of time you will spend on each section with your financial advisor. Additionally, they have a CTA that standouts easily against the background to “Schedule an Appointment Today.” There is one at the bottom of the page, too, in the “Investment Management” section, where you can click to find out more about those particular fees. Even though there are multiple calls to action on the page, they are easy to read and strategically placed so that visitors have multiple opportunities to schedule a meeting with the team.

Lastly, we stress the importance of “freemium,” which is something they offer through the option to download their latest issues of “Eye on Money.” People love FREE, so offering advice for free is a great way to generate leads on an advisor’s website.

5. Glass Financial Advisors

Based out of Independence, OH, Glass Financial Advisors is led by founder Michelle Glass, CRPC.  Videos on a homepage look great and give the visitors a feeling of serenity upon landing on the homepage. It’s as if you are taking a journey with the firm as you walk through the woods in the image below. The CTA “Meet Your Advocates” stands out against the black and white background, enticing visitors to take the next step.

Why We Like It

In the “What We Do” section, they use interesting imagery with the cartoon sketch showing the types of questions that they answer for clients, such as:

  • When can I retire?
  • How will I pay for healthcare?
  • How much money do I need to retire?
  • Will I outlive my money?
  • Will I have enough?
  • how much should I be saving?

These questions are displayed in a “fun” manner and really capture the attention of the audience to make the website more memorable and help them further explore.

The CTA stands out against the background in the dark green with the phrase “Let’s Get To Work,” which can take visitors to the contact section. The wording on a CTA should be enticing and make your readers want to take action.
