It’s time for our “Meet the Team” blog for June, and we got to chat with Marketing Associate, Aubrey Seymour. She is a huge part of our team at FMG, and when she isn’t crushing it at work, you can find her spending time with her family, her Golden Retriever Quint, and is busy planning a trip to Idaho, Wyoming and Montana this summer for the whole family! We love hearing more about where everyone lives, especially with the team working remotely! So, tell us, where do you live now, and what’s your favorite part about your city?
San Clemente, CA, it’s a small town where you can’t go anywhere without running into someone you know. It’s a town where they still do the homecoming parade and Senior Grad Walk down our main street. I don’t think I could do the City, I’ll stay in my little city by the sea.
As the Marketing Associate at FMG, you wear a lot of hats! From helping with event planning to product marketing and more, you do it all. How did you get started in this role, and what’s been your favorite part?
I have a history of event and wedding planning, but during Covid, I was able to get more exposure to EVERYTHING the marketing team does and assist where I could.
Have you had any “aha” moments or think of anything that really stands out for you in a positive way in your role?
When I was new to marketing my eyes were opened to the fact that marketing is not just “making things pretty” there is a ton of research, analysis, strategy, and thought that goes into everything.
Can you describe a typical day? How do you stay motivated and focused when working from home?
Days aren’t typical, it’s not hard to stay motivated.
What do you like to do in your free time?
LOL…I would love to have some free time. If I have some time to myself, I hang out with my favorite kid (the dog) or catch up on one of the many series that I started months ago, currently, I am watching Shrinking.
We’ve been lucky enough to meet your fur baby at some of our meetings! Can you share some pictures and tell us more about him?
His name is Quint, he is a 2 ½-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever. His name comes from being the 5th male born and also my husband drives the “Quint” for the fire department.
Are you a sports fan? If so, what teams do you cheer for?
I’m in the last year of watching our boys play sports (Volleyball and Soccer). If we are talking about professional sports, I don’t have a favorite, I do love rooting for the underdog.
We’re so excited that school’s out and summer is finally here! Do you have any exciting plans coming up?
We are planning a trip to Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana for the ENTIRE family.

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever received? It can be work-related or just great life advice!
I was told when I had my second son, “Don’t make your oldest responsible for his little brother, let them just be brothers.”
