We are so excited to kick off our “Meet the Team” blog series, and for our first one we chatted with Customer Success Coordinator, William Schaefermeyer. When he isn’t working with advisors and customers to ensure they are achieving their goals, he loves to travel, play the piano and play chess.

To learn more about William and what he does in his free time, be sure to check out our first “Meet the Team” blog.

To kick things off, where are you from, and where do you live now?

I’m from Spanish Fork, Utah and have lived there most of my life. I live in Vineyard, Utah now though.

What’s your favorite part about where you live now?

I really like the house and living situation I’m in. Vineyard is developing quickly so it’s exciting to see the growth.

As a Customer Success Coordinator, you work with our customers to ensure they achieve their goals and are satisfied with FMG’s products and services. It’s a critical role that you more than excel! What are your favorite parts of being a Customer Success Coordinator?

I enjoy being able to develop relationships with clients and members of the team while also being able to develop my own skillset.

What’s a “typical” workday look like for you? Tasks might change daily, but we’d love to hear what you generally do

Following up with clients and the team to tie up a lot of the “loose ends.” Also trying my best to be a coding mentor to others and doing a bit of coding myself. Other than that I spend my time managing my own book of business and other functions to help keep things running smoothly.

When you aren’t working, what are some of your hobbies?

I like anything outdoors (hiking, camping, skiing, climbing). Also traveling, playing piano, and playing chess.

If you could only have three things on a deserted island, what would they be?

A grand piano, some delicious food, some friends if that’s allowed.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be?

I’ve been craving a trip to Asia, maybe Japan, South Korea, or China.

What superpower would you most like to have?

That’s a tough one, I’ll go with time travel for now.

As you know, we love our pets at FMG and are always excited to see pictures of them! Do you have any? And if so, what kind and what are their names?

No pets as of now, maybe eventually though!

What’s been your favorite part about working at FMG so far?

I really like the family culture that FMG has, couldn’t ask for better company!
